We were delighted to be invited by our friends at The Rake to create a piece for The Flaneur
Collection, partnering with Vitale Barberis Canonico, the famed Italian mill. This collaboration
did not need overgilding: the classic Grenfell Cavendish style, a raglan sleeve coat with
majestic back vent; made out of VBC’s famed Original Flannel, a dense, matte weave of 340g
in a windowpane check.

In design terms, the coat is lean and clean with a concealed front placket. The cloth’s drape,
weight and fluidity lend perfectly to the cut of the garment. This combined with the
smoothness and warmth of touch, reinforcing its luxurious appearance.
The Flaneur Collection also includes a suit, cap and rucksack made by respective expert
craftspeople. Equipping modern gents for urban sartorial missions.
